Terms and Conditions for Colindale Driving School

1. Introduction

1.1 These Terms and Conditions (the “Agreement”) govern the services provided by Colindale Driving School ("we", "our", "the school") to the client ("you", "the student"). By enrolling in or participating in any course, lesson, or driving instruction, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.

1.2 The school reserves the right to modify, update, or change these Terms at any time. Any changes will be communicated to the students, and continued use of our services will constitute acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Registration and Enrolment

2.1 To enrol in a driving course, you must complete a registration form and provide accurate information, including your name, contact details, and date of birth.

2.2 A valid learner’s permit or other legal identification may be required before starting practical driving lessons.

2.3 All payments for courses and lessons must be made as per the payment schedule outlined by the school.

3. Scheduling and Cancellations

3.1 Lessons are scheduled based on availability. It is your responsibility to confirm and attend your scheduled lessons.

3.2 Cancellation Policy: If you need to cancel or reschedule a lesson, you must notify the school at least 48 hours in advance. Failure to do so will result in a cancellation fee or forfeiture of the lesson fee.

3.3 The school reserves the right to cancel or reschedule lessons due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., instructor illness, weather conditions). In such cases, we will notify you as soon as possible and offer an alternative arrangement.

4. Fees and Payments

4.1 The fees for the courses, lessons, and any other services provided by the school are outlined on the school’s website or provided to you upon registration.

4.2 Payment must be made before the commencement of each lesson or course, unless otherwise agreed upon.

4.3 Any missed or cancelled lessons without adequate notice will incur a fee, as outlined in the school’s cancellation policy.

5. Code of Conduct

5.1 You agree to conduct yourself in a responsible and respectful manner while participating in lessons and training sessions.

5.2 You must follow all instructions given by the instructor and adhere to the rules of the road.

5.3 You are expected to arrive on time for your lessons. If you are late, the instructor may reduce the lesson time accordingly.

6. Driver’s Licence Requirements

6.1 You must hold a valid learner's permit (provisional licence) or equivalent authorization as required by law to participate in behind-the-wheel lessons.

6.2 You are responsible for ensuring that you meet all the legal requirements to obtain a driver’s license in your jurisdiction.

7. Health and Safety

7.1 You should inform the school of any medical conditions, disabilities, or other factors that could affect your ability to drive safely.

7.2 The school reserves the right to refuse service if you are under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any substances that impair your ability to drive.

7.3 The driving school will provide a safe environment for driving lessons, including maintaining vehicles in good working order.

8. Liability and Insurance

8.1 The driving school maintains insurance coverage for the vehicles used in driving lessons, but you are responsible for any damage caused during the lesson due to negligence or failure to comply with instructions.

8.2 The school is not liable for any personal injury, property damage, or accidents that occur during or after a lesson, except where such injury or damage arises from the school’s negligence.

9. Privacy and Data Protection

9.1 The school collects personal data (such as name, contact information, and driving progress) for the purpose of providing its services. We will handle this data in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

9.2 You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data as per applicable regulations.

10. Student Expectations and Responsibilities

10.1 You must attend lessons with a positive attitude and be open to learning the skills required for safe driving.

10.2 It is your responsibility to notify the instructor if you are feeling unwell or unable to participate effectively in a lesson.

11. Termination of Services

11.1 The driving school may terminate or suspend services if you breach any part of this Agreement, including failure to pay fees, disruptive behaviour, or unsafe driving practices.

11.2 You may terminate your participation in a course at any time by notifying the school in writing, subject to applicable refund policies.

12. Refund Policy

12.1 Refunds for paid lessons or courses will only be provided under specific circumstances, as outlined in the Refund Policy.

13. Complaints

If you are unhappy with any aspect of your tuition, you should notify the school/instructor without delay and not later than seven days from the date on which the cause for complaint arose. Every effort will be made to address and resolve the issue promptly.

By enrolling in Colindale Driving School, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
